Chamberlain Worcester part tea and dessert service

Collection of Chamberlain Worcester porcelain tea, coffee and dessert wares, painted and gilded in the ‘Admiral Yeo’ pattern, number 298, comprising teapot and stand, two ‘Baden’ shape teacups, one ‘Baden’ coffee cup, ‘Bute’ shape teacup, three saucers, one dish (19.5cm diam), six plates (18.5cm diameter), comport, and four heart shaped dishes, red script painted marks

Pattern 298 was one of Chamberlains most popular patterns. Listed as 'rich blue border of gold with ovals of india work', the design was available unadorned or customers could add their own crests or full coats of arms, at additional cost. The best-known set of this pattern was made in 1815 for Admiral Yeo, and the pattern has since become known as the Admiral Yeo pattern.

Our Winter Specialist Sale of Fine Furniture, Modern Design, Paintings, Prints, Silver, Jewellery, Watches, Ceramics, Glassware, Collector Items, Wines, and Spirits.

The auction includes the principal contents of Gatcombe Court, Somerset. Highlights include a 17th-century embroidered stumpwork panel, Fortunino Matania oil on canvas – The Last General Absolution of the Munsters at Rue du Bois, and an 1880 painted wooden rocking horse attributed to F. H. Ayres.
 
We will also be offering selected furniture and paintings previously at Sutton House, Clifton. Included are works by Alfred de Breanski, Sidney Richard Percy, and Alfred Pollentine, together with fine 19th century furniture.
