Operating since 1860 Clevedon Salerooms is one of the longest established fine art auction houses in the South West. Conveniently located 10 miles south of Bristol and 3 miles from the M5, the site offers extensive free parking.
Quarterly Specialist Sales remain a key part of our Auction Calendar attracting international interest. The hugely popular regular Antiques & Interiors Sales provide a source for collectors, interior designers, and the general public.
Our friendly and knowledgeable team can assist with all aspects of buying and selling as well as certified valuations for Probate, Insurance and Family Division. Our experienced valuers are always happy to provide free sale estimates, either by attending a valuation day, emailing us images, or where appropriate, by home visit.
Clevedon Salerooms are a member of SOFAA, the only professional body exclusively representing fine art auctioneers and valuers in the UK.
The Society was formed in 1973 to provide a professional body for specialist firms throughout the United Kingdom. The membership includes a significant number of the leading provincial specialist auctioneers. The members seek to provide a comprehensive and specialist service as auctioneers and valuers of antiques, fine art, jewellery and other chattels.
The Society aims to provide guidance to its members to ensure the highest possible standards of practice in all regards, and encouragement and reassurance to clients that their best interests will be served at all times.
Clevedon Salerooms are proud members of The Art Loss Register, so you can buy with confidence. The ALR holds the world’s largest private database of lost, stolen and looted art, antiques and collectibles, currently listing more than 700,000 items. Items are added to this database on behalf of the victims of looting or theft, insurers, police forces and others. The database is then utilised to offer a due diligence service to auction rooms and other clients in the art market who wish to ensure that they are working with items to which no claim will arise.
